DutyIt came along with the chiming of the old clock in the grand hall, welcoming the first hour of daybreak; the front door opened. Instinctively she felt the pillow next to her head; it was empty, but still warm. Panicking, she struggled to remove herself from the bed, rushing so much as to cause herself to become twisted in its sheets. Forcibly throwing them aside she darted to the frighteningly large door across the room. On the way out, but before rushing out the door of the room, she grasped the rose pink, lace dressing gown from its place on the settee. Every second, every raced heartbeat, they felt as if eternity was passing by while she ran through the manor in the direction of the front door. "Wait", she cried out frantically, but the door had just closed shut. As she could not stop herself, her body slammed into the thick wooden door with a loud echoing bang. The pain pulsed down to her fingertips; trembling she opened the door, light streaming onto her face, just in time to see Duty by IceFlea

Ann and Ember - Live ActionINT. APARTMENT - DAY An attractive girl zips up a hoodie and grabs a backpack. Into the bag she starts to shove random items... lipstick, a video game controller, a taco, an eldritch-looking dagger, an 8-bit hunk of meat, an ankh, a pack of gum. ANN (V.O.) I’m Ann. I’m a fixer, for lack of a better word. Basically, people hire me to come into their lives and, well, fix stuff. A lot of it is common sense, but hey, forest for the trees, you know? CUT TO: ANIMATION - 8-BIT SPRITE STYLE INT. AN 8-BIT DUNGEON Ann is standing on a bridge, talking to Bowser from Super Mario Bros. ANN So, most of this stuff is great. Murderous mushrooms, man-eating plants, bottomless pits, I dig it. BOWSER Thanks. ANN But this... Ann motions to the bridge beneath them. ANN (CONT’D) What is with this? A bridge over a lava pit? Really? BOWSER Hmm? ANN Look, you’re a giant fire-breathing dinosaur... turtle... dragon... thing. He’s a three-foot-tall plumber. Two WeeksTo: Satan, Lucifer, The Morningstar, Little Horn, etc. Sir, I regret to inform you that this is notification of my departure from your employ. I have received a lucrative offer at our competitor’s branch, and I have accepted it. I will not be entertaining counter-offers. I hope to part as amicably as possible, so as to not burn any bridges. I will, however, still literally burn bridges for the remainder of my time here, as it falls within the realm of my work responsibilities.
However, I do feel obligated to say a few things ‘ere my exodus. It may not be my place, but alas, here we are. I was with you at the fall. I spat in the face of the righteous. I fought by your side against those uppity bastards, and I was cast down alongside you. I helped you build your nefarious empire. I aided in the seduction and damnation of thousands upon thousands of those pitiful meat sacks that tread the realm between. I have rained down hellfire and corrupted pure souls. EffervesceI love words. I fully realize the irony of that statement, expressing my reverence for language using only three small, overused words. Yet effective words they are (love, in particular, is one of the most interesting anomalies of language. It is a word used to express the feeling of butterflies when you think of someone, when your heart leaps into your throat when they walk in the room, when they are the first thing on your mind in the morning, and the last at night, when their body makes your pulse quicken, and their mind makes your heart melt, when you can’t imagine a life without them... and yet it is also used to describe your fondness for the el pastor nachos at the taqueria around the corner. But even with this distinction, it is not robbed of its power. You can speak of adoration, and affection, and devotion, but nothing carries the weight of looking someone in the eyes and saying ‘I love you’. I also realize I have fully overextended a reasonable length for a Effervesce by roninhobbit
OC Bio - Roni CameronVeronica Xanthippe Cameron was born on 16 September 1958; everyone called her "Veronica" until, at about age 5, she stated that since everyone else in the family had a short name (everyone else went by a two-syllable name
even "Mommy" and "Daddy"), she wanted one too. From that time on, she was "Roni," pronounced like "Ronnie." When she learned to spell, she spelled it "R-O-N-I," and the first person who pronounced it like "ROH-nee" (the last two syllables of "macaroni") got kicked in the shins. (It didn't seem to bother her at all that it was a teacher.) Roni grew up as a tomboy and a rebel, and, while intellectually gifted like her siblings, had little interest in school, didn't apply herself, and eventually dropped out during her sophomore year, in 1974. She ran away, left the state and has been out-of-touch ever since. The family prays for her every night. Our little devil-child will add a bit of spice to the OC Bio - Roni Cameron by nighthawk81
OC Bio - Lisa CameronAnneliese Zenobia Cameron was born on 23 April 1957, and was immediately called "Lisa." She has enjoyed a rather playful rivalry with her brother all throughout their lives. She graduated high school in 1972, the same year as her brother Michael, but obviously a year younger, at age 15. Michael always refers to her as "the smart one of the family." She started University the following year with her brother, but went into multiple accelerated classes, and graduated in two years, in 1974. She went into the workforce for a time, but then, at the urging of her brother, joined the military on 21 February 1978. More to annoy her brother than anything else, she joined the Navy. We will see where her military career takes her. This is also a "bare-bones" introduction. OC Bio - Lisa Cameron by nighthawk81

Len x Sick! ReaderYou groaned as you struggled to sit up. Sadly, that didn't work out to well. Your arms ached, and you fell back on your bed. 'I can't be sick!' You thought worriedly. You ran a head through your (long/medium/short) (h/c) hair, and sighed. "I promised Len I would help with the melodies for one of his new songs.." You sighed. "KIMI WA OUJO~ BOKU WA MESHITSUKAI~" Len's ringtone rang from your phone. Wait. Len's ringtone. Len's ringtone. LEN'S RINGTONE!! You grabbed your phone right before it went to voice mail, and held it up to your ear. "Hello?" It sounded like a dying frog in here. Wait. That was you. "(y/n)-chan?" Len's voice sounded worried on the other end. "Are you OK? You sound like a dying frog." "Gee, thanks." Your voice had a drip of sarcasm to it, and that made Len frown. "A-ah.. Gomen (y/n)-chan. I-I didn't mean to be rude..." His voice sounded sad, and it trailed off at the end, and that made you smile. "It's fine, Len-kun!" You smiled, wiping little beads of sweat off your Len x Sick! Sweet Nothing, Chapter 1: Please Don't Go..The smell of hot chocolate wafted from the kitchen to the living room. Yanna was in the kitchen, stirring the hot chocolate; the Strokes blasted through her headphones, and she hummed softly to herself. Mello was in the living room, his hands over his face as he watched the news. "God-damnit Kira.." he mumbled to himself, clicking off the TV and settling back into the couch. He sniffed the air, his mouth watering slightly from the sweet, sweet smell of the hot chocolate. He got up and went into the kitchen, leaning against the wall once he saw his lover. Yanna was now listening to an Asking Alexandria song, bobbing her head ever so slightly. She took one earbud out of her ear, "Mello!~" She called his name, and instantly felt a pair of strong arms wrap around his waist. "I'm right here, love~" He whispered softly in her ear, kissing her cheek afterwards. He turned her around and placed a sweet kiss on her nose, and then stepped back and admired her. He was always in awe at how beautifu Sweet Nothing, Chapter 1: Please Don't Go.. by xXAirRiderx
Tik Tok I had spent the better half of the weekend working on a research paper that was due early Monday morning. Our teacher had a habit of giving an extremely hard midterm project, and a more simple assignment for finals, so students would not be as stressed during finals week. Once again I had procrastinated, and once again I was rushing to finish a paper at my friends Kyle’s house. Though why, I never understood, I always just ended up getting distracted by him screwing around on his games. I ended up staying awake nearly all night Saturday, and also working through most of Sunday night, looking at my laptop for hours on end. On my way home, I realized I had forgotten my glasses, but I was nowhere near blind without them, just near sighted, and trying to read signs without them made my eyes strain even more. When I had gotten home, I found the door was already unlocked. I groaned remembering that I had school in the morning; and how little sleep I would have. As I walked up the Tik Tok by InvaderJoe1

Warriors - Beyond the Memories Chapter Four Silence fell over the area. Not a single rustle, mewl or subtle heartbeat could be heard. Yet Whitestar remained unaffected. Darkstorm turned her head frantically, searching for something in her brother’s eyes that said he knew what was going on, but he had a look of pure bewilderment on his face. Whitestar was just staring blankly, half smiling but maintaining his seriousness. Echostar was the first to speak, though she was entirely unproductive. “W-what?” She mumbled. She then shook her head briskly, shaking off any hesitation. “To what, dare I ask?” The ThunderClan cats stayed quiet, lowering themselves down to the ground in embarrassment, while the rest of the crowd started to mutter words of confusion, anger and fear. “You’re crazy, Whitegaze!” An anonymous ShadowClan warrior called out, refusing to respect his nine lives after what he’d just said. Warriors - Beyond the Memories - Chapter Two Darkstorm was dreaming of her brother when she was awoken by her apprentice, Pinepaw, as the day in the life of a mentor so often began. Her ears were slow to hear, but she was sure that Pinepaw was begging to go out on a hunting patrol. The dream was vivid, and Darkstorm felt more like she had just time traveled, rather than simply woken up. She stood from her nest silently, grinning at the young tom. “Next time maybe you could wait for my dream to end?” “Sorry!” He shrugged, still wearing a bright, wide smile as he always was. “Hey, can we get Oakpaw to go with us, too?” Darkstorm brushed past her apprentice, nodding. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.” I should never separate siblings. These two don’t know just how blessed they are to be living in the same Clan, free from prejudice and able to greet their sibling without having to risk their pe Warriors - Beyond the Memories - Chapter Two by Eternal-Black-Wings
