Group Conversions Ending Soon!

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 9, 2010, 10:57 AM
On October 29th, 2009, we converted designerscouch from a 'club' to a 'group', making it the first official inclusion in our Groups platform.  Since then, we've converted over 7,000 clubs into groups!  :omg:

The requests to convert old clubs to new groups have been steadily winding down and we've chosen July 4th, aka Independance Day , as the last day for club to group conversions.

What does this mean for you?  Well not much really... UNLESS you're the proud leader of an old-skool club that has yet to convert to the super-savvy Groups platform!  If that's the case, then your time is running out.  :ohnoes:

If you're a club leader wishing to convert, hurry to #convertaclub and take advantage of free club conversion before July 4th, 2010 at 11:59pm Pacific.  Please don't delay, as this is the final call for all conversions.

If you're unsure whether or not you'll enjoy the Groups platform, or want to know more about the process, #convertaclub is armed with FAQs that can help... and of course, numbers don't lie!  With 7,000 clubs having converted to Groups and over 46,000 NEW GROUPS created since launch, we're confident you'll like what you see! :wow:

Get converting before the deadline -- July 4th, 2010 at 11:59pm Pacific.

I keep checking back every now and then hoping that this will come bad. I really want to get back into my club but can't unless dA allows me to convert them into groups. Starting a new group is meaningless because I will lose the original date the club was initially created. :(

it would have been nice to not have a deadline on this, because there are still "groups" that could use converting.... such as the one I just stumbled upon that I forgot I made. "/

Since I can no longer convert my other clubs into groups, I have decided to let them go. I don't frequent dA much anymore anyway. I used to be addicted to dA but Facebook at least has replaced it now. I would like to come back big time like I used to but that will only happen if dA ever brings back the option to convert old clubs into groups. I would even be willing to pay money to do this. :(

Dang! I had clubs sitting around for years but couldn't convert them any sooner cuz I didn't have a paid subscription. Now I do and cannot convert them. This really sucks. :(
