We love to encourage users to leave feedback on art they like, as it's always nice to see users appreciating each-others work.
Now we've made it even easier for you to spot that wonderful masterpiece
so that you can give it the attention it deserves

Under deviation thumbs in gallery, favourites and when browsing the site you will see the comments count for the deviation

On the subject of thumbnails we've also added some info informing you which galleries the deviation is in
So now thumbs really give you more details at your fingertips

Just a little while ago, we posted the latest Sta.sh updates and asked you for more feedback. Site Update: December 10, 2011A little while ago, we released the first Sta.sh Updates article. The response was amazing.
We've fixed some of the issues you brought up last time, but there's still plenty to do. We've also been working on a lot of details that didn't come up in the feedback. It's a big list, so get ready!

Site Update: December 1, 2011About a month ago we announced Sta.sh and Sta.sh Writer -- not as a hot topic, but we soft-launched to the #hq membership and to the more savvy deviants who follow along when we release things.
Development of both products has never stopped and will continue in an ongoing manner moving forward.
Below, I've outlined a change log that tracks recent Sta.sh progress and also identified Known Issues that we're aware of and actively working on.
Change Log
You now have the option to include/exclude your journal from the Journal Portal, and from your Journal Tab's new "Featured" section.
The Journal Portal in the footer of deviantART now pulls from the Journals category but excludes all "Personal" posts. This means, you must categorize your Journal on submission for it to even qualify to appear in the footer of dA. This has substantially increased the quality of posts that appear there.

From the Journal portal, which will be replacing the News page, you'll be able to browse, submit, or search journals and news. You'll be able to browse by Newest, Popular, and Featured (which is comprised of official deviantART news and highlights).
Journals will be visible with their skin, giving you a better context of the post.

From the mundane to the surreal, these emails appear in our inboxes so frequently, messages from South African attorneys offering $10 million dollars get marked as spam without a second thought to savvy users.
We define spam as the misuse of communication systems to send unsolicited bulk messages indiscriminately to our deviants. Typically, the content of spam messages is aimed at advertising a product that is often counterfeit or potentially malicious. Please take a moment to look up what's happening in Canada with potential passing of Stop Online Piracy Act (Bill C10) because it will very likely affect ALL deviantArt users. Once you've done that please also consider signing the petition and passing it along (OpenMedia is in charge of the petition).

We don't want dA to be blocked or worse over no fault of it's own occasionally having a dishonest or ignorant user posting suspicious content. Under SOPA they would take action without warrant and ask questions later (I wouldn't trust that process to be as speedy as the dead halt of service).

Apologies for not including links here myself but I don't want to be flagged as spam for being a concern community member.
