:faint:  Llamas, cake, and badges... oh my!

Llamas are fuzzy and adorable, but too many make for one smelly pasture -- not to mention the constant spitting.  And while cake is delicious, too much can make you sick.  We realize some community members feel tired of smelly llamas and sugar crashes from too much cake.  With this in mind, we present the following...

:target:  Not a fan of badges?  This update is for you!

We've been listening and learning, and one thing you've let us know is that while we have hardcore badge enthusiasts, some deviants would prefer not show badges on their Profile Pages and do not want to receive such notifications in their Message Centers.   If that's you, check out these updates, driven by user feedback!

:star:  Disable all badges in one clean step by clicking the "Clear all featured badges" link found on your Badges page.  This will make it so no badges will show on your profile at all.

:star:  To no longer receive badge notifications in your Message Center, visit to your Settings, and click the "General" tab under your Personal Settings.

Under Miscellaneous Settings, you'll find an option to disable Message Center notifications for badges.  Check the box, save your updated settings, and you'll no longer receive those notifications.

But, for those who love badges, fear not!  The badge system will remain just as it is, so you can continue llama trading and cake giving to your heart's content.  That Golden Llama is still within your grasp!

:woohoo:  More options, more fun!

It's our intention that this update caters to both those who enjoy trading and receiving badges, and also to those who were not as pleased with this feature.  We're constantly working to improve based on your feedback, and we hope these recent additions have enhanced your deviantART experience.  Please know that these updates are the result of your comments and suggestions, and more are in the works as we speak.

Now, you can give out llamas and cake 'til your fingers fall off, without fear of reprimand from others!  Or, you can sit back, grab a cool drink, and relax knowing you will not have a clogged Message Center full of badge notifications.  Everybody wins!

My goodness thank you. Getting super tired of the llama spam advertisement/exploit that screams - "please watch and notice my page"
